I tried to make phone calls this morning but I can't stop crying.... Happy, Grateful, Joyful tears!!!!

Lydia came out of surgery about 7:27 our time.  12:30 Cameroon Time
The surgery was a success and she is doing well. She is still sleeping and in the recovery process but Thank God she made it through!

She told Simon yesterday that she was excited about the surgery and soon she will be able to run faster than all of her friends!!!!! I can't wait to get back to Africa and watch her run.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of you who donated and have kept her in prayer. Continue to lift her up as she will have to learn to walk again and endure the painful process of healing.

I am in the middle of a mission trip right now. During our Team time yesterday we talked about how pain is necessary for growth. We don't always understand why we have to go through painful things but if we endure, on the other side of it is a lifetime of joy for that situation. I know at the end of this painful journey she will have abundant joy!
...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. ... Psalms 30:5

More to come later...
