Prayers and Provision

 

Summer is here and things are kicking in to high gear around AIM. This is definitely our busy season with Mission trips.

 

I am co-leading two trips back to back and I need your prayers. The first trip is the 13-18th. Kim, Corey and myself will tackle a group of teenagers whose youth leader says wants them to be broken during this time. We will be doing street ministry in Little Mexico to a large Hispanic population as well as working with the elderly. I amvery comfortable with children 0-10. Teenagers are a challenge any time but during a Mission trip it will be most interesting.

 

The second trip is June 19-26th. This time Kim and I will be on our own working with two groups of teens. We will be “living” in a homeless shelter for a week, doing street ministry, and working with children at Vacation Bible School. We have a wonderful teenage worship band that will be helping us as well. These teenagers are in for a shock because I will be collecting their cell phones at the beginning of the trip!!!

 

Pray that we will be obedient to the leading of the Lord and that God begins to prepare the hearts of the people we will be ministering to and that we as leaders will be able to pour into the lives of the teens we will be working with as well.

 

Additionally, I have amazing provision for my finances. I will be leaving to go to Hawaii for 3 months beginning July 2. I will have the opportunity to be with missionaries from around the world and to sit under some amazing teaching and worship. I will continue to work with AIM from Hawaii and will be back here in October, just in time for our 20th Anniversary celebration our Vision Trip to Swaziland, South Africa!
