I am thrilled to tell you that I will be headed to Swaziland South Africa next week!
Are you surprised? Not as surprised as I was! I have an awesome opportunity to lead a Vision Trip to Swazi with a group of NFL wives. This came up just a few days ago and I am humbled at being asked to work with these women and the wonderful people of Swazi.
My heart has been in Africa for the last year and I can’t wait to step foot on the rich soil of that beautiful continent again.
While there is much excitement about this trip, the needs of the Swazi people are great and that is forefront in my mind. This is a big assignment in both spiritual and natural realms.
Swaziland is a country that is riddled with AIDS – more than 50% of the porpulation have it. Because of this there are thousands of orphans whose literally have no where to go. Currently in NSOKO we are feeding approximately 700 orphans everyday and I don’t think this begins to cover the need. There is also an abundance of widows because the people are dying on a daily basis. There is a danger that the entire country of Swaziland may not exist after 2050 because of the birth and death rate. We are seeking to walk out James 1:27 in a tangible way. – Look after the orphans and widows in their distress.
I need your prayers for the time spent in Swazi and our preparation time before hand. God’s will is going to be done. I want Toya to be moved out of the way so that God can have complete control in the lives of the people in Swazi and the lives of the women on the team going over.
Pray for the people of Swazi. In the midst of all their pain and suffering there is still hope in their hearts. Pray for a cure to the horrible disease of AIDS and that medical supplies and food needed to sustain life is provided.
