Yes – they are still happening…

The day after the Surrender Walk our community had a debrief.

We all talked about our experiences during the various portions of Training Camp.  BTW – Training Camp is what happens before Missionaries go out into the field. It is intense but good.

Anyway – during my time of sharing, I told the story of what happened during/after the Surrender walk and the fact that I slept outside all night in the freezing cold and I wasn’t sick. (You all know my issues with body temperature)

It was amazing to me. I shared with the group that I was in pain – this was evident by my limping into our debrief meeting. I had a throbbing pain in my leg and it felt like fire going from my knee to my hip. I was in pain but I felt good and my knee wasn’t as swollen as it  had been in times past.

Kim shared that she felt like God wanted to heal me and asked if it was o.k. to pray for me. They all came around and Kim put her hand on my knees and began praying. As soon as she touched me the “fire” from my leg  was gone but was in her hand. The longer she prayed the hotter her hand became.  Various members of our team continued to pray for me and another person who wasn’t feeling well. I declared some things and then they asked our other team member how she was feeling. Her headache and nausea had gone. They then asked me how I felt and to walk around the room. I took a few steps and there was no more limping and no more pain!!

Our conference room erupted into cheers and praises to the Lord. I just stood in the corner weeping and thanking the Lord. How great is our God!!!  He keeps proving Himself over and over.

It all pointed to obedience for me. What if I hadn’t come to Com Life, What if I decided not to climb the mountain out of fear, what if Kim chose not to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit? The questions could go on and on but I am grateful that we all chose to be obedient. The end result was our faith was strengthened and we were able to see miraculous healing taking place right in our midst!

When we are out of the field, hopefully it won’t be so hard to listen to the Lord if He wants us to pray for healing for some other person!!!!

Yes, this journey has been tough. I don’t expect the tough times to end right away. We as a community are being refined so that we can help bring others into the Kingdom. I have never heard of refinement without fire but the end result it so worth it!

Are you willing to go to the hard places of your life? Does God have the opportunity to refine you?
Can He strip you of all that is weighing you down so that you can walk in your own miracles?
Press through the pain, There truly is a light at the end of the Tunnel. His name is Jesus and He is waiting to wrap you in His arms and show you His glory!

  5. Yes, God still performs miracles when we are accepting of him. This is truly an amazing testimony. I like the last part where you asks the series of questions because it coincides with the book I am reading, “Shattered Dreams” by Larry Crabb.
