What’s New in My World

Once again my life is changing and I would like to Iet you in on what’s happening. You all know that my heart desire is to make a positive difference in the lives of people that I am around. My greatest joy is when I am helping others.

 

While on a vacation  in the Dominican Republic my heart was grieved by the sight of people living in 3 wall tin “houses” that looked like they were made from anything people could find. Small children were running around with nothing on waiting for what I assumed was thier mom cooking lunch on an camp fire like “stove.” I whispered a prayer and told God that I want to come back and help some of these people. My prayer was answered in a much different way than I expected. My heart was turned to missions. I was excited when I found out about an opportunity to join Adventures In Missions. I applied and have now been accepted to participate in their Community Life program!  During this program, I will be discipled and trained in various areas of ministry and missions. I will have the opportunity to combine my love of helping others, love to travel and also utilize my skills as an Event Planner to help the ministry.

I plan to join my fellow Community Lifers in Jan 09. (Happy Birthday to me!!)

I thank God for this opportunity that is before me and trust He will meet my needs. Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I would be honored if you could partner with me on this project. 

 

. Prayers: Please begin now to cover our entire team in prayer. Specifically for the hearts of those we touch to be soft. We will also covet your prayers for safety and traveling mercies. I know that many of you are Prayer Warriors and I would be honored to have you commit to praying for us. As we work out details of our route it would be my desire to have certain people pray for us in certain countries. Please let me know of any particular country that you have a desire to pray for.

2. Financial Support: Please pray and ask God for His wisdom in supporting me financially. It can be from $1 to $10,000! I must raise a total of $7,000 to cover the basic expenses of the program. Pledges can be made as a one time gift or in monthly pledges via bank draft.  If you would like to pledge monthly please contact me.

Adventures In Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures In Missions and that

the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax advisor.

I am very excited about how God will use me and what He will teach me through this experience. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you.
