Things have been moving along here at AIM. They are keeping me very busy and I love it!

I am getting ready to embark on another one of my challenges and Vision that I believe God has shown me. One of my goals here is to get more churches involved with Missions and for right now I am going to focus on African American Churches. When I met Seth in December he expressed an interest to have more people of color involved with AIM. I have taken the challenge to try to help make that happen.

In the coming weeks, I will be visiting churches and individuals to speak to them about AIM, Missions In General and to continue to raise my support.

We all know how much I enjoy Public Speaking - NOT. I don't like it at all but it's a necessary "evil." If you don't talk to people you can't develop relationships.  I have been fortunate to make contact with several churches and individuals in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (where I used to live) The week between Palm Sunday and Easter I hope to speak to about 15 churches and many individuals and hopefully start a small fire in them about Missions. Additionally, This summer, I will be going on several trips with interested individuals to New Orleans to continue the help with Hurricane Katrina Victims. It's been a few years but the people down there are still suffering. We can still go and serve our sisters and brothers down there and I am overjoyed with being able to have this opportunity. Hopefully next summer I can take many of the people I work with on these efforts with me over to Africa to do some work there. My heart is still in Africa and I want many of you to experience the joy that comes from giving yourself away!

I really need your prayers. While I know I am capable of this, it really makes me uncomfortable. God is really teaching me that he created us to be INTERdependent. I have lived so much of my life trying to be  INdependent and never really asking and/or allowing others to help me.  This isn't the way God wants us. He has made that painfully clear to me.  "We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other" (Romans 12:5). Everyone is dependent on Christ for salvation and we are designed to be dependent on each other as well. Healthy Dependence mind you! (Not CODEPENDENT!)

So I am asking for your help. I need your prayers, contact info. for churches/individuals that you think might be interested in helping, and finances to make all these things happen.

Throughout the year, I will be speaking at churches and wherever people will listen. I can speak to the church as a whole, Missions Leaders within the church, and any individual who wants to be part of this vision. So, no matter where your church is or your friends church, if you think there might be a tiny bit of interest, please forward my blog address to them and/or email me their contact info. and I will touch base with them.

Thank you to all of you who are already praying and supporting me. Thank You, Thank You to the anonymous donors who continue to support me on a monthly basis. I appreciate you all.
