Hi all,

I have been poked and prodded, drugged up with medication and stuck with needles but God is still good!

Things are looking up. I am feeling much better and am able to breathe freely and speak normally again. What a scary few weeks!

The infection in my lungs is still there but getting better daily. I don’t struggle for every breath but there are times that I get out of breath if I try to do too much to quick.

My CRP levels are still elevated and this is what caused the initial concern about my heart. CRP levels can indicate Heart Disease. The initial test results were 2.6, The results I received yesterday had them at 1.5. This is good drop but still a high number considering normal range is 0-0.6. CRP levels can be elevated because of the amount of inflamation coming from the infection and the Dr. thinks that is the case with me. (praying that this is the case!) I had new bloodwork done and we are awaiting those results. There are some questions about my red blood cell count, the size of my red blood cells and the amount of oxygen that is actually in my blood. There is also a chance that I am anemic.

I have also had an allergic reaction to something so I am covered in hives but given all the other things that I have encountered in the last few weeks, this is nothing. The doctor took me off of some of the medication hoping that this is the cause. Hurry up and wait is all I can do at this point.

For now I am trying to walk a bit each day to strengthen my lungs and trying to live as normal as possible. I am not comfortable traveling alone so some friends are coming to pick me up and are whisking me away for a little while for some R&R.

Thank you all for your prayers, well wishes and sacrifices that many of you have made on my behalf. You will never know how much I appreciate it.

In the coming weeks, I will be giving a few more Haiti updates. There is so much that I haven’t shared and would love for you to know.

Love to all of you!
