It’s been a busy few weeks.
I have visited 18 cities in 6 different states and I have a few more to go. Whew!! I can honestly say that I am just a wee bit tired!  That’s not to say that my trips have been bad. They have been amazing!

One of my trips was to Fertile, Iowa. I visited with my friends from Church of Christ, St. James and Celebration Church!!! We had a blast while I was there. I got to attend a small bit of “secret church” that happened from 10 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. with some pretty awesome college students. I spoke to a combined Sunday school class and then gave the children’s message. Pastor Dan from Celebration Church capped my trip off with a ride on a Harley!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Harley’s. I used to want one but now I think about the number of orphans that I can help feed for the cost of a Harley… Rides from friends will have to do!
I was blessed to see one of my dear friends from Charlotte and a supporter paid for a hotel room at a super nice hotel for me to spend the night to visit with her. Thanks J.D. !!
I love you all my Minnesota and Iowa friends!! You all showed so much love and I can’t wait to see you again.

I just came back from Allegan, Michigan visiting with the wonderful people from Allegan Church of God. WOW – I thought Southern Hospitality was something!!!!!!!!! The people of Allegan blew my mind.  Kelley carted me all around and drove countless numbers of hours!! Ardith blessed me with a hand-made quilt and Grandpa blessed me with a hand-carved jewelry box. There were so many other blessings I can’t name them all but the people of the mid-west are certainly stealing my heart. I spoke at their morning service and we had a HUGE “carry in” (pot-luck) afterward. I had to roll to the car!! I met many new friends and re-connected with some old ones and they wil be joining me in Haiti once again next year!!

Speaking of Haiti… I got the all clear from my Dr. to go back. So………………….. I will be headed back in Dec. I’m so excited I can hardly wait. My bloodwork is looking good. There are a few areas that still need to some changes but they will come with time. The biggie was my CRP levels and they are at 1.0 today! Big difference from the 2.6 when tested in Haiti. My blood pressure is still a bit elevated but I will be working on that and my over-all health. Thank you for your prayers and please keep them coming. I believe that the Lord wants me to prosper and be in health as my soul prospers and I know my soul is prospering!

After Haiti, I will be headed back to Cameroon, West Africa in Jan. Can you see me happy dancing from here????  I have a mere $900.00 left to raise for this trip and I hope to have it all raised before I head to Haiti.

I am headed to Chicago in a few days to lead a mission trip for the BEST church in Northern, IL. ROZETTA I can’t wait to see all of you. We will be ministering to the homeless and disadvantaged children there. If all goes well, I will be teaching the kids how to make laundry soap and we will do some of the homeless people’s laundry while we have lunch with them and minister. We will also spend some time with some disadvantaged kids who don’t have Christian influences in their homes but they are going to the church we are partnering with there. Please keep myself and the team in your prayers.

Thank you all for your continued support of me and the ministry that the Lord has called me to. I would not be able to do what I do without your prayers, encouragement, and your giving. Blessings to you and your families.

  1. Toya, this truly inspires me to read your articles time and time again. I can’t wait to hit the mission field again. I would love to do longer trips like what you’re doing. I would also like to sow a little something toward your trip. How do I donate?
