You all know that Africa has my heart. Cameroon, West Africa in particular. The Lord has been opening so many doors to Cameroon in the last few weeks and it’s time to make another visit to minister to the wonderful people there. I am planning on making a trip in January with some members of my small group and possibly some others. (maybe you??)
This is not an AIM trip but I will still need your help to go. I WILL be leading an AIM trip for 14-18 year olds to Cameroon next summer. You can find out more about that trip here:
I will spend some of my time in January doing set-up for the summer trip.
We will visit Cameroon Africa in Jan. 2011 to work with children at the HOTPEC Orphanage, St. Valentine’s Orphanage and visit with people in hospitals. The HOTPEC Orphanage takes in abandoned and disabled children as well as children suffering from HIV. In addition to sharing the gospel and working with the children on a daily basis, our hope is to also be able to teach the Orphanage staff how to preserve food and various other life skills that will help them improve conditions at the orphanage. We will also visit people in the hospital and visit people who are homebound.
The cost of the trip is $2,500. I am asking if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me to help with the expenses of this trip. As a team, our goal is to raise an additional $2500 that will be used to help pay medical expenses for those in Cameroon who are unable to pay. After our 2009 trip we were able to raise funds for a 4 year old girl with Ricketts whose legs were severely bowed. She was able to have surgery to correct the curvature of her legs and she is in school today healthy, happy and able to run and play with the other children. Prayerfully we will be able to help other children in need during this trip with your help. When visiting the St. Valentine’s Orphanage, they had buried an 8 year old boy the day before who dropped dead of a heart condition. The orphanage did not have the finances to take the child to a doctor. He was buried out back with the pigs because there was no money to bury him elsewhere. People all over the world need help with medical expenses and encouragement. We hope to provide this on a very basic level to whomever we can.

We have been able to secure donations of school supplies and 275 Bibles. We are still
looking for socks, underwear, backpacks, a volley-ball net, volley balls and any other sports equipment. We are also encouraging children and youth groups to write a short letter or create a card to encourage the children and staff at the Orphanages. We need 200.
Donations of all sizes are welcome. Little becomes much when we place it in the Master’s Hand.
Please make your check payable to the National Christian Foundation. Fund ID:721433 should be written on the memo line of the check. All donations are tax deductable. Checks can be mailed to: National Christian Foundation 11625 Rainwater Dr. Suite 500

Thank you for your support in allowing me the privilege to go into another nation to share the love of Jesus Christ and meet the practical needs of so many.
